Privacy Policy

Get Locked In is built on a simple premise: your habits are yours. By default, your data stays on your device, and we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
By default, we do not collect or process your data. If you enable optional features such as sync, Guilds, or sign-in, limited data may be required to provide those features.
Optional features and data use
Optional features may require minimal data such as a pseudonymous identifier, a user-provided display name (such as a nickname), habit completion events, and basic shared state. This data is used only to provide functionality like syncing or shared features, never for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
Identity and authentication
When optional features are enabled, a random pseudonymous identifier may be generated. If you sign in using a third-party provider (such as Apple or Google), we may receive limited account information (such as a user ID or email) solely for authentication.
Analytics and tracking
We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not track your behavior, usage patterns, or interactions within the app.
Data processing and sync
If sync or shared features are enabled, limited data may be processed on secure infrastructure and transmitted securely. Sync is optional and can be disabled at any time.
Shared features
If you use shared features such as Guilds, limited participation data may be visible to other users, including your display name (if set) and completion status. Detailed personal data or full history is not shared.
Data retention
Your data is stored locally on your device and may persist even after uninstalling the app. You can delete your data at any time using the in-app data deletion option in Settings. If syncing is enabled, associated data may also be removed when you disable sync or delete your data within the app.
Legal basis (EU users)
Where applicable under GDPR, data is processed based on providing the app’s functionality, legitimate interest in operating the service, and your consent for optional features.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, and to data portability. Since most data is stored locally, you can exercise these rights directly within the app.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. External services are limited to Apple’s App Store, optional iCloud sync, and minimal infrastructure required for optional features.
International data transfers
If data is processed outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards are applied as required by law.
Children's privacy
The app is not intended for users under 13, or under 16 in the European Union where applicable.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and clearly communicate them. We do not expand data collection silently.
